Gamified Habit Loop & Streak Tracker

Track habits using the cue-routine-reward loop. Calculate streak rewards, earn XP, level up, and measure your financial impact over time.

Mathematical Audit

Gamified Habit Progression Formulas

This tracker converts your habit streaks and difficulty into XP, Levels, and cumulative financial impact, implementing behavioral psychology concepts.

Base Daily XP = 10
Total XP = Streak × Base Daily XP × Difficulty Multiplier + (Streak >= 10 ? Streak × 2 : 0)
Current Level = Floor(SquareRoot(Total XP / 100)) + 1
Total Financial Impact = Streak × Daily Savings/Cost
Consistency Rate = Max(100 - (Streak Freezes Used × 15 / Streak), 50)

Difficulty Multipliers: Easy: 1x; Medium: 2x; Hard: 3x. Streaks of 10+ days receive a daily bonus XP multiplier to incentivize consistency.

Operational Guide

How to Gamify Your Habits

1

Outline the cue, routine, and reward

Break down your target habit into Duhigg's loop: Cue (trigger), Routine (behavior), and Reward (payoff).

2

Define daily financial impact and difficulty

Enter the daily money saved (for good habits) or cost incurred (for bad habits), and set the difficulty level.

3

Input your current streak

Enter the consecutive days you have maintained the habit and any streak freezes/skips used.

4

Evaluate XP, Level, and Savings

Review your character Level, total XP earned, and cumulative financial savings.

Real-World Scenario Example

"A user tracks 'Not buying Starbucks' (good habit). Cue: 8 AM walk. Routine: Make drip coffee. Reward: Save $5/day. Difficulty: Medium (2x XP). Streak: 15 days, 1 freeze used."

Inputs

habitName:Making coffee at home
habitType:good
dailyFinancialImpact:5
difficulty:medium
streakDays:15
freezesUsed:1

Result

Character Level 2 (330 XP). Earned $75 in cumulative savings. Habit consistency is calculated at 90%.
