Member LTV measures the total net revenue a single member generates over their entire membership lifetime, accounting for Skool's transaction fees (10% Hobby or 2.9% Pro + $0.30/transaction), average retention duration, upsell revenue, and referral value.

Transaction Fee Per Month = (Monthly Price × Fee Rate) + $0.30
Net Monthly Per Member = Monthly Price − Transaction Fee + Upsell Revenue
Member LTV = Net Monthly Per Member × Average Retention Months
Net LTV = Member LTV − Acquisition Cost
LTV:CAC Ratio = Member LTV ÷ Acquisition Cost
Referral Value = Referral Rate × Member LTV
Total LTV With Referral = Member LTV + Referral Value
Payback Period = Acquisition Cost ÷ Net Monthly Per Member

A healthy LTV:CAC ratio is 3:1 or higher. The maximum LTV on Skool is capped at 60× ARPU (5 years). Skool smooths churn rate calculations to reduce monthly volatility.
